We were lucky enough to stay two times in the last few years at Locanda Dell Artista, just 5 minutes from San Gimignano and we just want to go back again soon. It’s that good!! You don’t want to go elsewhere after staying here once. It’s really addictive!
The owners, Cristian and Baker, are so nice and welcoming that they will become your friends. The views from the pool and the terrace of their villa are breathtaking to say the least. Olive trees, vineyards, fruit trees, as far as the eye can see, with the towers of San Gimignano in the background.
Each suite is beautifully furnished and offer all the comfort you need. The villa is appointed with both beautiful antiques and modern art.

[EDITED Dec 2018] We recently revisited the Locanda to discover their recently opened new restaurant, #AL43. It offers a fine dining experience. The cuisine is modern with a fusion style touch. If you are looking for typical Tuscan gastronomy, perhaps planning dinner in San Gimignano or the region would be better advised. Whether seated in their warm and inviting dining room or on the terrace, you will enjoy spectacular views. We definitely preferred the old recipe, when the owners were only serving the hotel’s guests in a very intimate ambiance in the backyard terrace. The owners touch was making a huge difference and creating a family like environment.
This is a place for travelers wanting to experience Tuscany at its most beautiful.
