Top 10 romantic restaurants around the world for an unforgettable dining experience

The site Elite Traveler delved into the dining scene of extraordinarily scenic locations across the globe to bring us their selection of the world’s most romantic restaurants, ranking based equally on the ambiance and gastronomy.

We are not surprised to find it that list two of our favorite locations we have visited in the recent past; Ristorante Il Refetterio at Monastero Santa Rosa on the Amalfi Coast and restaurant Sierra Mar at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur (#California).

The Michelin starred Ristorante Il Refettorio is part of the cliffside 17th-century convent turned luxury hotel, Monastero Santa Rosa Resort & Spa. With its outdoor terrace with a view over the coastline, the restaurant is the perfect place to take these breathtaking surroundings in. Chef Christoph Bob’s Mediterranean cuisine, which encompasses ingredients from the Campania region, is sublime.

Big Sur’s clifftop Post Ranch Inn is famous worldwide for its architecture and dramatic position overlooking the Pacific ocean. The hotel’s restaurant Sierra Mar has won awards for its wine cellar.
